Portocel
ISPS Code
Soon after the September 11, 2011, terrorist attacks in the United States, governments all over the world realized the need to adopt safety measures and impose stricter restrictions at airports, borders and ports. Thus, the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code was created, which was adopted by the International Maritime Organization as a chapter of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention, intended to protect vessels and port facilities used for international trade.
Portocel fully complies with the requirements of the ISPS Code and the safety standards established by Brazilian laws for the protection of workers, vessels and cargo, as per the verification report of the State Commission of Public Safety in Ports, Terminals and Waterways (Cesportos).
The document also contains the Declaration of Compliance, which proves that Portocel follows the Port Public Safety Plan, approved by the National Commission of Public Safety in Ports, Terminals and Waterways (Comportos), related to Resolution 26/2004, of Brazil’s Ministry of Justice.
